Visiting Museum Bukit Chandu Singapore

The Bukit Chandu Museum is in the south of Singapore. Singapore which known as a small country but has superb, organized, and smart facilities. The town in Singapore has a nice layout. All ground is building up with the number of huge buildings and great looking. The tour of museum moves swiftly. Flowers with good experiences and memory. So nice, our visit. Flooded with an information about history. The valued information collected at Bukit Chandu Museum makes our visiting valued and appreciated.

This visiting more focuses on exposing students with Bukit Chandu history. The history of the Malay Regiment with the motto of ‘Taat Dan Setia’ who faced Japanese army in World War 2That time, the Malay Regiment’s soldier just a trial soldier by British. They have only two-week experienced in the military. Bukit Chandu was the last battle between Japan’s military and British’s allied military.

Besides exposing, the purpose also focuses on data, information collection to instruct students on making inferences in their study. The comparative study from various versions and comes out with reason and analysis from students.

The most important for this exposure is to find out our super Malay hero which has world recognition. We found that many Malay's heroes died in Bukit Chandu’s incident. But the most obvious was Lt Adnan Saidi. We can see that Lt Adnan Saidi shows excellent example and leaderships. Without any question, Lt Adnan Saidi exactly can become our young generation's idol.

Even though the museum now surrounding with huge building, since fast development in Singapore, the museum itinerary still impresses our group, especially on the presentation. The layout and organized valued information. Many types of creative presentation were catching us during the museum tour.

The little bit on travel to Bukit Chandu, we saw the nicely highway. We believe the well planning because of limited ground in the country. The highway and town have a proper plan. We also have a chance to travel into the underground highway. The tourist guide informed us that the deepness of the underground highway is equivalent of twelfth building height. Since we travel on the highway, not in heavy traffic, our bus travels smoothly. All the vehicle seems travel in discipline manner and they follow the speed limit. The speed limit for the busses and lorries are about 60 - 70 km/hour. While the speed limit of the cars and motorcycles are 90km/h. The tourist guide has briefed us that driving in Singapore has watched by many cameras with the different angle. Every movement on the highway normally recorded by these cameras. The population in Singapore is about 5 Million. Only about 1 Million citizens are having the personal car.

Back to history at Bukit Chandu, a lot of lessons learned that we could gather from this visit. We saw the museum has something to expose such as their horrible time facing by their parents during the war. The museum has the message for the visitors. From my observation, the theme of the museum is to educate visitors. We hope that this diligent effort could achieve the message of no war in future. The world’s leader must accept the no war message. The visitors must pass the no war message to others who do not have an opportunity to visit the Museum Bukit Chandu.
